Mesotherapy in Richmond Hill

What is Mesotherapy?

In 1952, a well-known French doctor, Michel Pistor, invented Mesotherapy to insert very small doses of natural ingredients with special disposable microneedles. The word comes from the Greek, β€œmeso,” which means β€œmiddle,” and β€œtherapy,” which means to treat medically. Mesotherapy was initially used for the treatment of medical conditions such as osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain. The treatment became very popular in Europe. Later, other practitioners who were using the technique discovered that Mesotherapy could be used to treat skin conditions.

Today, mesotherapy is used to treat a variety of skin issues, including:

  • Wrinkles and lines
  • Stimulation of collagen remodeling
  • Cellulite
  • Moderate acne scarring
  • Excessive fat
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Stretch marks
  • Tighten loose skin

The technique uses very fine needles to administer a special cocktail into the middle layer of the skin. The mesotherapy cocktail is a combination of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
