NON-SURGICAL BBL
For the last few years, wider hips and a fuller buttocks have been vaunted as the latest body trend. If you are someone with a desire to make your buttocks fuller, there are three options to consider: butt implants, fat transfer (BBL), or injections.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
The first two are invasive procedures that require undergoing surgery with a long recovery time.
A BBL, or Brazilian Butt Lift, involves removing fat from other parts of your body, such as the abdomen and thighs, and then inserting it into your buttocks to add volume and improve their shape. Some of the risks include, but are not limited to: fat embolism, death, bruising, infection, skin discoloration, swelling, and asymmetry due to fat absorption in the body.
Butt implants are artificial devices placed into your buttocks, and silicone is the material used for buttock implants. The risks associated with this type of procedure include excessive bleeding after the surgery, scarring, pain, infection, skin loss, or movement of the implant after the surgery.
A filler called Sculptra is injected into the buttocks to enhance their curve and shape without surgery or a high risk of side effects. Sculptra injects poly-L-lactic acid, which stimulates collagen production in the deeper layers of your skin. The building of collagen takes a few weeks, and you need between 3-5 sessions for the best results. It is safer than its surgical alternative with no downtime.
