Rosacea
Rosacea
Rosacea is a long-term inflammatory skin condition that appears as redness or flushing, commonly on the cheeks, nose, chin, or forehead. Although the exact cause of rosacea is unknown, studies show that it can occur due to genetic factors, immune dysfunction, and environmental influences.
Although this skin condition can be treated, leaving it untreated can worsen the condition by developing bumps and pimples. In some cases, especially in men, untreated rosacea on the nose area can cause the nose to become swollen from excessive tissue growth. Another common complication with untreated rosacea is irritated, bloodshot, or watery eyes.
